Foraging for Free Food, 10am –12.30pm, $30, Papamoa. Learn which “weeds” are good to eat and how to turn them into nutrient-packed smoothies. (see Wild about smoothies, posted earlier this week).
NZ Carnivorous Plant Society Summer Show & Sale, 10am-4pm, Auckland.
Sustainable Gardening Workshop: 2pm-4.30pm, Historic Village, 17th Ave, Tauranga, free. Topics include no-dig gardening, sheet composting, and worm farms.
Monarch Butterfly NZ Trust Conference in Auckland. Speakers from Australia, the US and New Zealand.
The Australasian Bromeliad Conference is on until Monday in Auckland.
Summer: Utopia into Dystopia exhibition, Waitakaruru Sculpture Park (between Cambridge, Morrinsville and Hamilton).
